Travelogue: 日本の春 // My Japan Diary Chapter XIV

Hikari;
The Light of the Spirit that shines through the path - a series of pilgrimage routes that is highly recognized as Kumano Kudo. The air was fresh and crisp, the surrounding was a piece of beautiful silence. And we saw nothing but senior citizens hiking.
It made us so ashamed of ourselves, because I was panting away in my leather skirt and wedge sneakers, while they were fit as fiddles and laughing away with every step. But it made me realize how healthy the Japanese are and what disciplined routines they have... all these in comparison with the endless Japan-exclusive KitKats that I've had over the past week. And not forgetting the copious amount of umeshu that I've downed and are going to stay on my belly...
Oh, what diet? I am in Japan!
