A big thank you to Shu Uemura Singapore for sending this bag of beauty goodies to me!

It is always lovely to receive presents, especially when it is from your favorite makeup brand. Which girl can resist pretty cosmetics and premium skincare? Anyone who had ransacked my makeup pouch before, or even come to my place for a makeover session would know how much I love Shu Uemura. Most of my eyeshadows and blushers that I own are from this Japanese brand, and I think even the Mister can memorize my preaches (for Shu).

The colors, the vibrancy, the choices, the quality...

Today, I share my love for Shu's latest range of Gloss Unlimited. I thought I could use a little creativity to showcase the orange and pink shades, but because I had wanted to wrap this shoot up under 15 minutes, I rushed through the painting and totally forgot about using my lip pencils, hence the feathered colors.

Note to self: Making up is tantamount to working on an art piece - it takes patience, concentration, and a heart that really wants to paint an impressive creation.

Oh, by the way, I set the base colors with rich lipsticks. The gloss was the enhancement that gave my lips a pop of color and a jelly-like pout.

You may not have guessed, but I actually loved the blue one the best. If you take a close look at it (in real), you will be blown away by the pink and gold reflects. Just a coat over your favorite lip color and you will have a camera-ready pout. I know nothing about photoshop, but one thing I will always remember - gloss cannot be faked. That explains why I always insist on touching up my lip makeup before the camera comes in front of my face.

And before I forget - Shu's cleansing oil is one awesome product to help remove even the thickest of my makeup (dance performances and competitions!!!) while still restoring the moisture on my skin. Can't describe much; you gotta try it for yourself to understand how effective this product is. ;)
