Checking in to Sri Panwa and spending a weekend here at my favorite Thai island adds a lovely note to my fulfilling August, and this little getaway (on the pretext of work) is so timely to soothe the senses and make me forget all the stress for the upcoming dance competitions. Well, temporarily. While life is not a bed of roses for everyone, and I sure have my fair share of problems and worries, everyday is still celebratory for I am blessed to wake up healthy and well.
It is our third time here at Phuket in a year, and I know I have said it way too many times, but I am beyond thankful for all that I am blessed with. There can never be too many thanksgiving, no? For one, Sri Panwa surpassed all expectations and is easily the most stunning I have ever stayed at and experienced. Never would I have thought I would share the luxury of being served like a royalty and be treated to one of the most quintessential villas at Phuket!

See those stand-alone villas peeking out from the trees? Those are the ocean-facing villas, and is our humble abode for the weekend. Perched on the top of the hill, we wake up to a panoramic view of the boundless skies and calm ocean every morning. And I really could get used to this serenity.

So the first afternoon was spent at the pier, where we danced under the sun, and watched the schools of fishes swim by as we soaked our feet in the cool ocean. The whole while, I was singing in my head,

"I walked across an empty land; I knew the pathway like the back of my hand. I felt the earth beneath my feet; sat by the river and it made me complete."

Yipe. So why don't we go, somewhere only we know...
