Twirling In Time

Lounging in a knit jumper with two little teddy bears who share a huge part of my childhood with me, and a man who loves taking photos of (and for) me everywhere we go; weekends are best spent at a lush hotel like this. It is such simplicity that really warms my heart and reminds me of how blessed I am.
"Gratitude turns what we have today into enough", something that I tell myself everyday. And The Secret has taught me that if you practice gratitude everyday, it won't take long before gratitude is your natural state of being, and when that happens, you will have unlocked one of the greatest secrets to life.
Lately, this had me wishing - if only everyone could practice a little more kindness, a little more grace, a little more generosity, a little more altruism, a little more appreciation for everything around us... what a beautiful world that would be.
So anyway, I am hardly a stripes person. It is a very fine line between wearing an easy piece and looking effortlessly chic, and looking extremely fat (especially for horizontal stripes). But a few weeks ago when I was at the Hollyhoque office, this knit jumper caught my sight from a distance and I knew I had to have it. Available in 4 colors, this cropped number is the perfect piece for a nice weekend at the cafe or a late night dessert date. It cuts off at the ribcage, creating the illusion of a long and slender torso. Pull on a pair of high-waisted shorts if you feel too exposed, or flaunt that waistline with a low-rise jeans. Yipe, this jumper has a slimming effect because of its lightweight knit material and the varied widths of the stripes.
Absolutely in love and everyone should own a striped piece like this! Stay tuned to Hollyhoque. This piece should be released some time next week!
