White is the new black. For me, at least.

If you have been reading this blog long enough, you would know I used to avoid white pieces for the fear of looking short and stub. Well somehow, black always works better. But white is such an alluring color and it gives sensuality a totally different definition.

Over the weekend, B and I had a staycation, and I picked out a white lace dress for a dinner on one of the evenings. He had nothing but praises for me, for he has always preferred me in white dresses. This piece has a high neckline detail, which happens to be my current obsession. I love flaunting my shoulders like that. Haha. And did you notice how intricately gorgeous the lace is? Though it is not your usual flowery kind of lace, it still looks elegant and expensive. But of course, The Stage Walk is such an affordable label and you can easily own this piece without breaking the bank. This is the kind of dress I would strongly encourage you to invest in because it takes you from work to play, and the slight skater bottom compliments even the girls with wider bottoms. There is also a classic black version, and there is no way you can go wrong with it.

Another weekend outfit I packed was this ensemble of a printed top and a killer leather shorts. Don't we all love bird prints? This one here has a splash of colorful swallows and is so easy to wear. For the floral lovers, there is also an option of washed floral prints! To be frank, it looked plain and common when I first took it out of the wrapper. But once I wore it, it was a completely different story. The thick material actually sculpted my torso and curved out from waist down for a slimming effect, and the slight cut-in detail accentuated my shoulder blades and arms and made me look so skinny altogether. And you must have guessed that I love the high collar (too). There is really nothing to not love about this simple yet oh-so-flattering number!
