Earlier this year, I placed my trust in Shunji Matsuo and have them take care of my hair. And it is one of the best decisions I made this year, because they have never let me step out of the salon with a tinge of disappointment - not once. Every visit is a rewarding one, even if I do not do any major changes to my hairstyle.

My dedicated stylist, Eddie, understands me so well by now that I do not even need to say anything when I sit down - I just leave it up to him because he knows my preference and what would suit my hair best. Occasionally when I go with some ideas, Eddie would always give me his professional advice and tell me what would be damaging to my hair, what should be done instead and what he proposes would be better alternatives. In essence, I really do not have to worry that I would step out of the salon with fried and damaged hair.

So I chopped off a few inches of my tresses 2 months ago, and took a break from crazy colors. I do miss ruffling my fingers through my long locks, but this length is perfect and it takes me only 10 minutes to create curls! My hair condition is so much better too, because Eddie has been diligently doing the Sherpa treatment for me that deeply nourishes and restores the hair's condition and shine.

It is only with healthy hair that I can explore new styles and colors with more confidence. For my Japan trip, I had initlally toyed with the idea of doing pink again, as with my trip to Europe earlier this year. But I am really in love with my shade of brown, and the dark color has an inexplicable soft romantic feel to my overall look. Needless to say,  I stuck with it and Eddie gave me a fresh coat of color for a boost of shine. I am now all ready for Japan, and I cannot wait to share more travelogues with all of you!
