Summer is fading, and everyone is stocking up on their cardigans and coats. It is the time of the year again, when leaves will wither and fall, and the sun will be forgotten. But not for me, because I love summer and there will always be a time for my favorite lightweight pieces.

This resort top came in the mail last week, and it is just perfect because while it is the transiting season now everywhere else, Singapore has been more than hot and humid for the past week. I feel baked from just standing under the sun for a few minutes!

I paired the top with a pastel-colored polka dots shorts for that extra pop of cheeriness, and slipped into my most comfortable pair of loafers for the day. The cotton is so soft to the touch, and the embroidery details give just the right touch of daintiness. The white threads really stand out against the navy, yes? But if you do not prefer dark shades, there is also a pastel yellow option, white and lavender that would tempt you all the same. I cannot believe how fast 2013 has been! Are we really nearing the end of September? This month has been nothing short of amazing, and the kind of goals I marked for myself and the achievements I worked for felt like a quarter's worth of effort and fulfilment. I had wanted to get myself another Chanel or Celine as a reward, but... I have a way bigger dream to save up for. Slowly, but surely... we will get there. :)
