Travelogue: 綺麗な日本 // My Japan Diary Chapter II

Everyone who knows me would know how much I love Japan, and it is one country that will always have all my heart. The Land of The Rising Sun is so fascinating in every way, and inspiring to say the least. The culture is one that I have always been so intrigued with; every detail is an art, every expression is one-of-its-kind. And precisely because it is such a study, I dedicate myself to loving Japan and its culture for a lifetime.
Because shrines and temples are my cup of tea, we took the shinkansen to Kyoto and mapped our week with visits to the ones that have been on my travel list since forever. The first morning saw us stopping by at Yasaka Shrine, or better known as the Gion Shrine; so splendiferous. Founded over 1,350 years ago, this is one of Kyoto's most famous shrines and is a prominent shrine for the annual Gion Matsuri (summer festival), which we missed by 2 months. I hope this gives me another reason to return to Kyoto again, but I really do not like summer in Japan. It gets so unbearably hot and humid.
The weather has been so kind to us, with blue skies holding up and the occasional breeze. While the people in Tokyo are already decked in knit and boots, my luggage has nothing but summer clothes, heels and sneakers. Not that it bothers me much, though. I am actually very pleased because I get to parade all my new clothes. Prior to my trip, Rach from Fash Mob sent me 2 huge parcels of her recent stocks and I brought them all with me to Japan! I told you I love her Bridge label so much. ;)
This white playsuit couldn't have been a better number for travel. Moving around is so fuss-free! It is so classy and easy to wear, and white pieces which are totally not sheer gets an additional star from me. The structured cut also makes it suitable for the office, but I prefer to strut it out with black notes and a fun necklace. Besides, a white number on its own is already pretty and feminine, you almost can't go wrong with it. I can never say no to quality pieces with friendly price tags that make me look and feel like a million dollars.
Can't wait to share more photos of my journey in Japan!
And, blowing some kisses to my beloved B - without him, I would never have all these photos. Thank you for waiting for me to doll up every morning, for helping me decide my shoes, for looking out for spots and angles, and for giving me all the shots that I want. You are the best! <3
