The Sweet Escape

Red is undisputedly the season's favorite color, yet, people always think twice about donning a red piece. I have never once thought it is "too loud" a color, and if any, red is always a good idea. It speaks of femininity on a separate level, and I hope today's installation will inspire more girls to wear red.
For a start, if you are looking to try a red number for the very first time, pick something that is not crazily complicated nor overly loud. And as much as possible, pick a piece that you do not need to accessorize much so as to minimize confusion, because pairing can be quite tricky.
Invest in this Morgan Skater Dress, because it brings great mileage and can be worn in many different styles. A simple but sleek cut, this dress sits modestly on the shoulders and opens up to a flare bottom ala skater style. You can wear it as is, with a pair of sandals in black or nude, or add on a tailored white blazer for that touch of sophistication. Alternatively, go bold with the pairing and adopt a colorblock style. Think red dress with a cobalt blue waist belt and white pumps, and perhaps a chunky purple necklace.
But what I did here was to flatter my style - which is a lot of black and gold. There is something peculiarly enchanting about meshing all my favorite colors together and strutting out on the streets with so much confidence.
