Afternoon teas have always been one of my favorite ways to spend time with B, and I am thankful that sometime last week, we kept away our laptops and ran away to Sentosa for a quiet afternoon together. The liberty of doing nothing and not touching our emails was one that we had craved for so long.

The weather was mercilessly hot that day, but that did not soil my mood of dressing up. No matter how lazy I am, or how the weather may be an excuse, dressing up to look good beside B is a perpetual quest and something that I take pride in. And trust me when I say no matter how long you've been dating, it is healthy to constantly put in effort for each other in simple ways as such. Most men would appreciate your looking good for him - I said most, just because...

Anyway, red is my favorite color after black (art students, please don't fault me) and this red knit dress came in the mail at the right time. Simple and lightweight, with a stretchy bodycon material that accentuates curves at the right places, this piece is specially manufactured by Lilyrae and B really loved the rich hue! I love how it is so fuss-free and good for days when you totally have no inspiration on what to wear. Do what I did - pick a pair of statement heels and layer it with some simple chains!

Nothing too fanciful, nothing too over the top; just perfect for a casual high tea date.
