Daybreak
When I was young, I played with Barbie dolls everyday. I would dress them up in the prettiest dresses, and I would dream of growing up and having a Barbie-like wardrobe. Sequins, florals and maxis; they were all my childhood fantasy.
As I grow up, I fall in love with various styles, and I have accumulated a wardrobe of clothes that is comparable to my dolls'. One that I have always had a soft spot for is maxi dresses; they are ever gorgeous and dreamy.
Slipping on to this pastel purple maxi rekindled moments from my childhood days, when I dressed my dolls in my favorite things, and imagined her sashaying down a walkway she called her own. The maxi made me feel ethereal, and the shade of purple speaks of innocence and purity in a way like no other.
Waking up to a beautiful daybreak and playing dress-up with a bare-back maxi made my Sunday perfect.
