Last week, B and I took a 5D4N staycation at one of our favourite places. And as much as 4 nights sounds like a crazy thing to do, we couldn't have been more sane than when we were doing our accounts.

I know right? The fiscal year is coming to an end and those boring paperwork is driving B up the wall. I hate being an adult sometimes and this is one of the reasons why. But thank God for accountants because hiring one is among the best business decisions we've made. Filing for taxes is such a menial chore, albeit only once a year. But y'know what? I'd rather be frolicking by the pool.

It was a breezy Saturday when we shot this series, and I was really looking forward to a good afternoon swim. Alas, it was so.freaking.cold. The sky was a gloomy shade of grey, the palm trees swayed and danced to the wind; and then, I thought to myself, "What a wonderful world."

There may be many other ways to live my life, or things may not be as perfect as we want them to be, but "gratitude turns what we have today into enough" and that is my daily reminder. All ready for the camera, B and I had our fair share of satisfaction from shooting this series, and the images turned out to be exactly what we had wanted - unassuming, carefree and youthful.

Thank you, B.
