Empowerment
So if you noticed, I am hardly in pants. I have this queer worry that pants (or jeans, or leggings) make me look short and fat - which I had successfully proved myself wrong on countless occasions with the right cuts, colors and materials, but I still worry anyway. I figured some styles that work for me, and I invested in several pieces that fit me to the T and complement me to death. And I STILL do not necessarily think of them when I rummage through my (scary) piles of clothes when I plan my outfits every morning. I guess they only come to my mind when I need to feel a little bit more like an uptown career woman. Inexplicably, pants has that effect on me - and works every single time.
The last day of February had me feeling for this piece of jumpsuit. I thought the blue-white stripes already set a starking contrast to the block of black bottom, so I kept my necklace simple so as to not take away too much attention from the jumpsuit - which is a statement on its own. The subordinate statement, which is also my favorite complement, is the mix of studs and skulls, which I wore on my wrist, fingers and feet. And for the love of bright colors, I just had to do with my red leather tote.
You see, I do love to have my legs covered, albeit selectively.
