With Love, Prague
It has been 4 months since my return from that beautiful city, but memories of my days there live vividly in my mind. It was such a dream come true to finally visit Prague. :)
We had no itinerary, and we had no 3G connection, but it was really nice to just hold each other's hands, wander around and snap photos.
We loved walking in the cold with locked arms and snuggling up to each other back in our heated hotel room. The weather dropped quite a bit, and when we arrived from Milan, it was -5c. It was already winter, but miraculously, the trees were still full with autumn leaves, and some roads were covered with snow; it was so gorgeous a sight to behold.
Prague has castles everywhere, and we were enraptured by the magnificence of each and every one.
But it was Charles Bridge that took our breath away - that historic gothic-styled bridge that connects Prague Castle and Old Town. We sipped hot chocolate as we took a stroll on the bridge, we listened to swing bands play their music, we watched painters create masterpieces, we took photos along the line of baroque statues, and we fell in love with the stunning winter scenery over and over again.
We happened to be at Prague on the 29th - the date we got together - and while we are not particular about celebrating every month together (quite silly, isn't it? Especially when we are both such busy people!), we made a little pact to treat ourselves to something sweet every month. Classical concerts and plays are performed nightly at Old Town Square, and we spent the night of 29th listening to a classical repertoire of Vivaldi, JS Bach and Mozart. All my favorite composers. :)
That night, I turned in with overflowing gratitude and contentment - to be at that part of the world with the love of my life, and to be falling asleep in his arms.
"Today's special moments are tomorrow's memories."
Glad to have seen Prague with you, and I will always cherish our loving days - at Prague, and everyday that I am with you.
