Red x Purple
When I was first signed to a sponsorship to Shunji Matsuo, I stepped into the salon with faded and terribly damaged hair. I placed my faith in Eddie's hands, and left him to give me a transformation. And for the month, I had everyone praising me for the pretty plum color, and even after it started to fade 2 weeks after, it was a sweet shade of cotton candy pink.
I was sold, and I made a second appointment with Eddie prior to my trip to Seoul.
I had gone in with the intention of doing boring dark brown, because I had zero idea of what I wanted. And Eddie being the nice man he is as usual had a little talk with me. "You sure you want to go all dark? Because I am very sure you would prefer colors and you need colors to complement your usual dress sense anyway!"
He already understands me by the 2nd month. :')
And with that trust, I left him to decide what was best for my hair. He accessed the quality (of the previously damaged parts) and picked a gorgeous mix of mahogany and bright purple. I was more than pleased with his thoughtfulness - he had chosen a shade of mahogany to feed my random desire to go dark, yet glistens under the sun to reveal a pretty red undertone. And the streaks of purple were rich and bright, without accentuating my dry ends.
Apart from praise-worthy coloring techniques, Shunji Matsuo also offers an extensive range of hair treatments to cater to various needs. Remember my amazing realization of how a simple 1-hour session can make so much difference to a hair-coloring session? It restores shines and gives you healthier hair to deal with. On my previous trip, I did the Sherpa treatment to strengthen my split ends and to close my cuticles to absorb the hair color better. This time, Eddie let me try CareTrico - deeply moisturizing and repairs my hair texture from the intensive chemical treatments I had subjected it to. I love this one even better because till today (2 weeks after my session), I still ruffle my fingers through my hair and I hardly get tangles.
I cannot be happier! If only you knew how many compliments I got from the Koreans during my week in Seoul. Even the mister is very pleased with my hair. :)
Shunji Matsuo @ 313 has an exclusive promotion for my readers. Quote my name and get 10% off all chemical treatments. Don't forget to also like their Facebook page for updates and occasional shout-outs. And if you want to go to the stylist who handles my tresses, look for Eddie. He won't disappoint, I promise.
