Channeling a little Louis Vuitton while still coveting my Balenciaga - Yipe, that was all I needed for a dinner date. Despite my numerous confessions for bright colors, my love for everything black and white stays firm through all seasons and trends.

Spring/Summer 2013 saw the monochrome trend back on the runways of Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Marc Jacobs - just to name a few fashion giants. After a few seasons of neons and brights and color blocks, who would have thought this S/S would be our legit chance to walk around looking like F1 flags and modern chessboards?

So I embraced the fever and picked up this oh-so-flattering checkered shift dress that was extremely comfortable and more than perfect for the recent humidity in Singapore. Add a touch of Balenciaga to jazz up the funky dress and it is La Vie En Vogue.
