Some years ago, B brought me to this beautiful place, and we spent an afternoon sitting on the grass and chatting about our lives. Those were our younger days as friends, and I still have every photo that we took at this very same place. As life progresses and we both grow alongside each other, we share one love and one lifetime, and it is always nice to take a walk down memory lane to relive sweet times and to remind each other of how blessed we are to have what we have.

The day after we returned from Phuket, we thought we would take a little drive out of the city for some quiet time and a little photo-shooting. Like wandering children we were, and it brought back happy memories. I picked a colorful number to complement the mood, and despite the humidity (bring me back to Rome please), we had sunshine for our cheery souls. Like I always say, frolicking under the sun with a pretty dress is such a splendid thing to do and happiness can be so simple just like that.

Today's feature is a Zara-inspired dress by one of my favorites, Jasmoda. Remember the previous advertorial that I did for them? The aztec off-shoulder dress was such a stunning one and it is still available via Backorder now. Yipe, Jasmoda always stocks quality dresses that are presentable and stylish, and they are mostly under SGD30!

When you girls write to me, I always get a mixture of questions, but one of the most frequent concerns that I noticed is the length. Short dresses and skirts are personal preferences for me because I am short and I like to create the illusion of longer legs, but for those with strict office dress codes, this dress is perfect for you. My typical length is a maximum 33", but this Abstract City Light Dress is 34" down, so you need not worry your boss would give you a dressing down (no pun intended).

Definitely a prim and proper piece that is made of quality structured cotton elastane blend, and is complete with a concealed side zip for easy wearing. Bring along a black blazer for a smart and polished look for that important meeting, but you may leave your accessories at home. Just wear a pair of bright-colored heels and there you have an effortless chic yet office-appropriate ensemble.

Of course, you can also play it down a little with fun shoes and a leather clutch like I did. Oh by the way, if you noticed, the dress can be worn both ways! I wore the U-neckline in front, but for the office, you girls can wear the original high neckline in front. Also available in a beautiful mix of blues here!
