Stop The World

Since the last week of August, B and I have both been respectively busy with work and dance that we hardly had the time to date. Though we get to see each other almost everyday because we work together, it felt like we were going in our own directions and we conversed mostly about work, work and more work. And maybe some of my dance woes.
So we finally took time off our hectic lives for a dinner date last Saturday, and it was indeed much needed. It was a breezy evening and much to our favor, the garden that we spent some time at saw only the both of us, and B stole some moments of me relishing the evening in a statement dress.
Why, it was the perfect number to score a frivolous distinction!
I was never a big fan of fishtail skirts, because I am short and they always make me look shorter. But I found this amazing piece and it gave me the chance to attempt a style that I would usually avoid. The typical fishtail detail flows at the back, but this dress has it on the side, boasting an asymmetrical finishing that speaks of sexiness in a very understated way. I like how my thighs peak out from one side!
And I don't know how to begin raving about how lush the colors are! The cobalt blue makes me look a lot fairer and that is precisely what Asians should embrace, and the contrasting aquamarine on the fishtail makes me feel like mermaid. Mint is becoming too mainstream; go for aquamarine.
With a dress like this, you really do not need to do any more to stop the world.
