Travelogue: Karmakamet // Bangkok

Many times, people ask me why I do not write about where B and I dine at. Well, that is simple - I am not Ladyironchef and I would very much prefer to leave him to do that while I stick to sharing the girly stuff.
In the course of work AND dating, I have the privilege to always dine at the nicest cafes and restaurants with him. While so many of them have left great impressions of all sorts, I do not actually get down to documenting them here on this space, but when I do, it speaks volume of how much I love that place (and quite usually, how pretty it is).
Bangkok is a cafe heaven and for all the years that I have been visiting, I never knew and discovered until I followed B to all the secret haunts. For one, the city has a generic messy landscape, so spotting a nicely-decorated themed cafe can be quite a challenge unless you already know about and are specifically looking out for it.
When we were at Bangkok last week, a cafe that B particularly read up about and searched high and low for was the then one-month old Karmakamet Diner, located at Sukhumvit 24 (but not really on that lane). It was a stunner. Way beyond what I had imagined it to be (because I did not see any pictures prior to stepping in), and totally unexpected of Bangkok.
Karmakamet is gorgeous in so many ways; it fulfils every aspect that you would expect of a cafe. Atmospheric is an understatement, and of course, the food itself was so tantalizing that I am salivating now just by recalling the French toast I had. B and I will be preparing a full post on this gem of Bangkok, so I shall keep you in suspense till that proper post goes live. But my friends already have the privilege of knowing how to locate it because that's me - I get too excited about good stuff and I just have to share it with all my girlfriends who are consecutively heading to Bangkok this and next week.
For now, I hope you are already enchanted by its splendour from the many photos I sieved out from the many more photos we took. Your trip to Bangkok will be complete with a visit, I promise. A secret world Karmakamet is, indeed.
