Back at Phuket this week to celebrate B's birthday. I had been hiding my excitement for so many months because I booked our tickets in January and had planned to break the news to him only a few days before our trip, but the surprise was a flop because he saw the email confirmation a month ago. Just as well, because that shortened the suspension and I felt so relieved I need not hide anymore. Yea, I am horrible at keeping secrets, especially from him.

Thank you for bringing me so much joy and laughter, thank you for all that you have given to me and taught me, thank you for sharing your days with me and always taking care of me. I hope this little trip back to one of our favorite places on Earth will mark a memorable birthday for you as we revisit the familiarity that we so love.
